The FDCP President met our Honble Finance Minister and GOM [on Prasar Bharati] ,Chairman Shri.P.Chidambaram at his residence in chennai on 22-12-2013 and submitted a Memorandum along with all relevant documents pertaining to our wage anomaly issue and requested the honble minister to take appropriate action in our long pending pay parity issue and the minister patiently heard our grievances and assured his support to resolve our crisis ,at the earliest.

FEDERATION PRESIDENT MET OUR HONBLE MINISTER FOR I&B SHRI. MANISH TEWARI ON 28-11-2013
The President of FDCP met our Honble minister shri.Manish Tewari on 28-11-2013 ,in his chamber in Newdelhi and discussed our long pending wage anomaly issue in detail and the minister directed the competent authorities to settle our wage anomaly issue by taking up the matter with Prasar Bharati for early settlement.
Earlier we met the competent authorities in the Ministry and they informed us that series of meetings are already held in connection with our wage anomaly issue in the ministry of I&B and assured that a final decision will be taken in the near future.

FEDERATION DEMAND FOR ENHANCING EDIT SUPERVISOR POST & FILLING VACANT POST OF F/V EDITOR POSTS,ACCEDED BY THE DIRECTORATE
Our Demand for enhancing the Cadre strength and Edit supervisor posts has been accepted by the Directorate and a circular in this regard, bearing no;20/3/2013-S-1 dated 25-11-2013 has been issued by the Directorate of Doordarshan to all the Heads of Doordarshan kendra to assess the requirement of Edit Supervisors at the kendras where this post does not exist and also to understand whether there is considerable increase in workload at the kendras where this post exists,kendras are requested to undertake in-house study and send their recommendations to the Directorate for consideration.Kendras are also requested to take necessary action for filling up the vacant posts of f/v editors and to furnish the action taken Report to the Directorate on priority.
In the above matter we request all Edit Supervisors and Senior F/V editors working in various DD kendras,to submit a proposal to their head of the office in the following manner:
1.For major kendras 20 film/video editor posts along with 4 Edit supervisors can be proposed.
2.For PGF/PPC 5 film/video editor posts along with 1 Edit supervisor can be proposed.
The above proposal can be uniformly send to our Directorate through the Head of your kendra at the earliest.
